About
Why we built The Planner's Bench
Founder story: owner to supply.
In your own words: the roles you've held (planner, scheduler, supervisor, I&E/Mechanical), the kinds of plants (no employer names unless approved), one planning failure that made you want to teach this, and what you wish someone had shown you in your first year.
What we believe
- A PM is only as good as its task list. If the instructions are vague, the results will be too.
- "Ready" has to mean ready. Parts staged, permits understood, equipment release agreed, before the job goes on the schedule.
- Mechanical and I&E plan differently. A pump seal job and a SIS proof test need different thinking, and the planning should show that.
- The system should serve the plant. We teach you to use it so it supports the work in the field instead of getting in the way.
- Your site's procedures come first. We teach good practice. Your permit, isolation and safety rules always win.
